Theo and Denise took over The Village Tavern in January 2008 and have transformed it into what it is today. Originally a family home, it has oak beams with rush matting woven over them, the stone walls have been cleaned to reflect a creamy glow from the clever lighting, giving the dining area a warm, welcoming feel. In what must have been a veranda at one time, there is now a bar and seating for people just wanting a drink; the lovely arches have windows installed, as well as a door, for those cool winter nights!
Theo and Denise have been on the island about three years and live in Oroklini, where Theo's father used to run the Labour Club before he retired.
Despite living just 10 minutes away from each other in England, Theo and Denise only met since coming to Cyprus - it must be fate! But it certainly isn't fate that's making such a success of The Village Tavern, more like jolly hard work!
